1. Call Your Ship To Your Location

Okay, okay, not to your exact location at any time, but if you were holding off on exploration for fear of leaving your ship too far behind, know that you can call it back more often than you think.

Thanks to every last bit of the game generating as you explore, you'll randomly come across small terminals next to outposts and bases that require 'Bypass Chips' to activate.

Craft one of these chips with both Iron and Plutonium, and then use it to call your ship, and you can avoid walking back across any expanse of land.

These beacons appear fairly frequently, so get out there and explore, safe in the knowledge that eventually your ship will find you instead.
