Overwatch: 10 Major Story Details The Game Doesn't Tell You

7. Overwatch Had A Black-Ops Division, Called Blackwatch

Though Overwatch may seem like a rosy team of crimefighting compatriots, they possessed an incredibly seedy counterpart.

Their off-the-books equivalent, Blackwatch, was led by Gabriel Reyes - a former comrade of one Jack Morrison (Soldier: 76) who would later come to be known as the terrorist 'Reaper'. It basically embodied the antithesis of the open nature of Overwatch, and as evil elements wormed their way into the organisation, many members broke off and formed 'Talon', a terrorist organisation and key enemy of the Overwatch group.

So, whilst the game may allow scenarios in which Reaper and Soldier 76 can team up to oppose an enemy team, the two are very much at opposite ideological ends. Could this relationship be the key focal point of a potential sequel? Who knows.
