8. Cross-Play And Continuing Updates For The Original Overwatch
Something many players were feeling anxious about early into Overwatch 2 announcements was the possibility that OG Overwatch players would be left in the shuffle of Overwatch 2's release.
However, fears have been alleviated since it's been confirmed that the main game will still continue to update, and that most, if not all, achievements will carry into Overwatch 2. One of the more exciting features is that players who purchase Overwatch 2 will be able to play PVP with players of Overwatch, with many of the new features carrying back into the main game.
Along with new maps that will also appear in the first game, as well as new heroes premiering in the same vein, many of the new components of Overwatch 2 will be playable from the first game, with 2 carrying the graphic and engine requirements that the OG wasn't able to.
It's an exciting and somewhat unusual method of new release, but something many fans who may or may not want to get into the sequel to be excited about with their own main game.
