Overwatch: 5 Things You Need To Know About Ashe
4. She Can Gun-Jump
The gun jump is an all time FPS classic move, depending on your age you might associate this with Doom, or possibly Halo. But if Ashe picks up popularity the way the likes of Mercy have, many youngsters might soon forever link this move with Overwatch.
As was shown in the trailer a couple of times, the jump sees Ashe aim her shotgun at the ground beneath her as she leaps into the air. Doing so gives her much more height and air time, with the strategy typically being used to reach higher vantage points to give you a better position quickly. However, some more skilled players adapted the technique to gun down their foes while airborne; dropping dynamite sticks from above seems like it could give Ashe the edge over her opponents.
As well as a great homage to other legendary first person shooters, equipping Ashe with gun jump fits perfectly into Overwatch’s frenetic style. The title has never been in any danger of going stale, but freshening things up with a new run and gun hero certainly isn’t going to hurt.
