This one isn't exactly a long shot, but it's certainly encouraged by more than a little wishful thinking. Nevertheless, it's widely documented that Sony's Santa Monico studio was recently split in half, with one side working on the impending God of War: Ascension, and the other devoting their time to a secret project yet to be announced, though the game's creator David Jaffe insists that it's something to be very excited about indeed. One can't imagine that this could simply be God of War 4; another game in the vein of the others would simply be too ordinary for this level of secrecy, and other comments from the studio's staff members seem to corroborate this. John Hight, Sony Santa Monicas Director of Product Development got chins wagging when he suggested that they had turned to Blizzard for inspiration, and entertained the idea that creating a God of War world was a possibility for the future. Can you imagine a God of War MMO? Stalking around Greece, leveling up your Spartan soldier? I have only one thing to say; shut up and take my money!
