8. DualShock Replacement
Theres already a strong following behind the rumour that the DualShock controller is to be ditched with the launch of the PS4.
CVG reported that a senior games company working on an upcoming Sony game confirmed that the new controller was entirely different to the traditional DualShock model, even hinting that it may include an LCD touchscreen and biometric sensors. With the great technology and success behind the Wii Us Gamepad, it wouldnt be entirely surprising to see a screen built into the next generation of Sonys gaming controller.
Edge reported that the Home, Start and Select buttons would be replaced with a trackpad, as well as the inclusion of a Share button on the controller. Rumour has it that this button will come with the ability to save and upload video and screenshots online, as the PS4 will constantly record the previous 15 minutes of your onscreen activity. It wouldnt be irrational to claim that the future of controlling Sonys videogames will be announced on February 20th, would it?
