PlayStation 4: 5 Announcements We'd Love Sony To Make (And 4 That Would Be Terrible)

4. The New Controller

PS4controller For the last couple of weeks, the hottest topic of conversation regarding the PlayStation 4 has been the controller. We have seen a whole raft of proposed designs - some of them are actually pretty sleek and similar in style to the tried and trusted DualShock, whilst others look absolutely atrocious. I remember the now infamous and much detested boomerang controller that was proposed ahead of the release of the PlayStation 3 and we have seen some similarly horrible design ideas for the new controller this year, but more on that later. One thing that gamers can agree on is that the new controller will, in all likelihood, feature some sort of touchscreen device instead of the Start and Select buttons. It will also feature some sort of motion sensor device for PlayStation move, supposedly, and rumours have suggested there will be a "share" button which uploads gameplay to the web. We want Sony to clarify the finer details of the new controller, (which they probably will) and we also want to know what exactly the touchscreen is for.
