PlayStation 4: 5 Announcements We'd Love Sony To Make (And 4 That Would Be Terrible)

2. It Won't Be Out This Year

sony When Sony released a series of teaser videos for a possible PlayStation 4 announcement, fans around the globe were whipped into a frenzied state of uncontrollable excitement. One of the worst things Sony could do now is reveal that it won't be out this year. That's like telling your kids what you're going to get them for Christmas in the middle of January. Initial sources suggested that the PlayStation 4 would launch alongside the Xbox 720 this Christmas (Yay!) but further reports have since surfaced that, due to "the complexities involved in European distribution", the new console isn't likely to see release in the EU until early 2014 (Argh!) First we endured the disappointment that was Rockstar Game's delay of Grand Theft Auto V, now this? How much more disappointment will be heaped onto gamers this year? We can only hope that Sony announce this Wednesday that, in actual fact, the launch of the PS4 isn't "that complex at all, in fact, you can have it next month." Wishful thinking, we know - but we have to stay positive somehow.
