4. The Games
Yes, Playstation's actual games! I've spent hours in Grand Theft Auto's gaming universe just gunning down pedestrians and avoiding the police. No game in the past has ever held my attention for more than two hours (unless it was Dungeons and Dragons, of course). With better games on the horizon, there is no doubt that we are in the golden age of gaming. I can foresee people in the year 2018 playing games similar to what we have now, except with virtual reality thrown in the mix. Imagine actually
being Crash Bandicoot!
3. Graphics
The Playstation's 32-bit graphics shocked me. When I saw the video covering the Playstation's
release in Japan; I was giddy with anticipation. I couldn't wait to finally get my hands on a 3D RPG (RolePlaying Game) that actually had realistic combat! On top of that, the lighting and stunning visuals had me on the edge of my seat - it was one step closer to virtual reality. 3 years after the Playstation's initial release, I can admit that I've spent tens of hours just staring at my virtual character, astonished at how life-like they look. I doubt that the Playstation 2 (if Sony ever does decide to develop one) will have as much of a graphical leap that the Playstation experienced.
