Pokemon Jesus. The literal creator of worlds. It’s not every day you get to own God now, is it?
Yes, slightly hypocritical to have Giratina so low and Arceus so high. But we saw neither hide nor hair of Arceus in the trailer, meaning we could be in for a longer wait. Also, a god is less likely to take its vengeance out on us than a devil, right? Unless it decides to go all Old Testament, of course.
Some of you may well disagree with my scathing assessment of Giratina’s ugly design, and I know I’m in the minority here too. I know it looks a bit like a deer got stuck in a fence then ran off and took the fence with it, but I like Arceus’ design.
It has an ethereal feel to it, suiting it’s legendary stature. There’s a lot of misfires in Pokemon’s history (Seel is literally just a seal) but Arceus does not belong in that category.
If, and it likely is an if for most players, you’re able to catch one, you’ll control one of the most powerful beings in Pokemon lore. And not just from a battling perspective. How will we top that for number one?
