Pokémon Gold & Silver: 10 Best Gen 2 Pokémon
3. Miltank
Normal type Pokemon are often overlooked by players of the game. This is because they don't have any real type advantages, and there are usually better, stronger Pokémon available.
However, the words "Enemy Miltank Used Rollout" still haunt trainers to this day. Whitney's Miltank is an example of the player hitting a brick wall, but when used correctly, this Pokémon is a defensive beast.
Not only were Miltank's defences fantastic, but Rollout, a move that got stronger and stronger with each turn, had the ability to diminish even the strongest foe's health. The trap with Rollout is that it takes five turns of attacking, meaning there are no healing opportunities in this time. However Miltank even has the answer to this in the form of Milk Drink, a move that restores the Pokémon's health.
If a trainer could get their hands on this rare Pokémon, they would have a defensive rock with an alarming speed stat, and a TM versatility allowing it to learn moves such as Blizzard, Hyper Beam, Thunder, Earthquake and Surf. The stigma of the Normal type is made redundant when the Pokémon can learn such a wide range of attacks, particularly boasting power such as these do.
