Pokémon: Ranking The 10 Best Gym Leaders
3. Elesa
Elesa might not be the toughest challenge on the list, but she’s definitely the most fashionable. The model slash Electric gym leader puts on the biggest spectacle of any gym leader to date, becoming one of Pokémon’s most memorable characters in the process.
To even reach her, you have to ride a series of roller coasters. Certainly a step up from the first Electric gym way back in Kanto when you had to rifle through Lt. Surge’s garbage to open a gate.
Most gym leaders just get a bit of a spruce up for the remake, but Elesa gets a full on revamp. Though she’d always been fashionable, she is fairly reserved in Black & White. By Black 2 & White 2, she’s far more outgoing, transforming her look into something more avant garde and adding a catwalk to her gym.
As an early to mid gym leader, her team is a bit basic, but she’s here for her story, not her battle. Two Emoglas and a Zebstrika (with an Emogla replaced by Flaaffy in 2) are at least cute and fit her brand, which is all you can really ask of an early gym leader.
