Pokémon Sword & Shield: 10 New Styles That MUST Be In Gen 8
4. Dragon Eeveelution
Eevee finally became an official starter Pokémon with Let’s GO!, and giving it a Dragon typing would be a wonderful reward for its years of service. There’s 18 different types in total, with 8 current Eevee types (9 if you include Normal type of regular Eevee), so it’s only a matter of time before it gets all of them.
Unlike Bug Eevee though, Dragon Eevee would not become one of the strongest in its type. Up against Dragonite, Salamence and Garchomp, not to mention the whole host of Legendary Dragons, Eevee would likely be on the weaker side of the gang.
However, weak Dragon types still tend to be pretty strong overall, and other Dragon types tend to be difficult to catch and then level up. With Eevee, it provides players an opportunity to add one to their party without the thumb crushing effort often required; with the trade off of less bulk than the Dragon beasts.
Design wise there’s so much that can be done with it; while Leafeon sometimes gets less love than other Eeveelutions, they’re all so clearly their own type and commit to the aesthetics 100%. Dragon Eevee would surely do the same.
