Pokémon Sword & Shield: 10 Predictions Based On Galar’s Map
8. Stonehenge & Cern Abbas Linked To Legendaries?
Around halfway up the map on the Western coast, there are some features clearly inspired by the British landscape.
Two stone structures look a lot like the famous Stonehenge circle, albeit just two distinct structures separate from each other across a field.
Stonehenge is thought to be an old Druid religious monument, so there could be something mysterious going on here. Set in Britain with the name ‘Sword & Shield’ could mean a medieval or fantasy element to the lore.
Next to this (shown above), there’s a carving or imprint on the hillside in the shape of a strange creature, which is likely inspired by the Cerne Abbas chalk man. Being so close to Stonehenge, many have speculated that this creature may be linked to one of the region’s Legendaries.
The shape looks kind of like a lizard standing up, so maybe a Dragon, Poison or Grass Legendary is in the offing.
The Simpsons Movie famously promoted themselves with a chalk Homer next to the Cerne Abbas man, so we could even see a chalk Pikachu in real life if Game Freak choose to follow suit.
That domed building may be something important too, but we’ll get to that soon.
