Like Zacian, Barraskewda is a fast, powerful physical sweeper which can easily overwhelm your foes. This fishy Water-type is another Pokémon that benefits greatly from a Choice Band - boosting its already high attack allows it to use its huge speed stat to outpace and overpower opponents with ease.

It also comes with a handy ability in Propeller Tail, which ignores your opponents' abilities or moves which draw in attacks. The main use of this is to ignore Storm Drain, an ability which draws in water attacks, nullifies their damage and gives the Pokémon a Special Attack boost on top. This means Barraskewda can safely keep hammering away with powerful water-type attacks without worrying about Pokémon like Gastrodon or Maractus switching in and absorbing them. In double battles, it also means defensive Pokémon can't draw Barraskewda's attacks away with the Follow Me move, which focuses all attacks on the user.

Alternatively, Barraskewda's Swift Swim doubles its already high speed during rain. It also boasts a wide movepool which allows it to cover a lot of types; moves like Close Combat, Poison Jab, Crunch and Psychic Fangs allow it to deal heavy damage to a range of different Pokemon. Despite its looks, Barraskewda is no small fry when it comes to attacking.
