PS4: 10 Best Console Exclusives You Need To Play

1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

It's quite hard to end a series in a way that satisfies fans of the franchise while working as a perfect entry point for newcomers, but Uncharted 4: A Thief's End accomplishes both feats with aplomb. Serving as both a heartfelt conclusion to Nathan Drake's tale and an enjoyable action-adventure all by itself, A Thief's End naturally expands the Uncharted framework with a very welcome slice of non-linearity.

Because, for the first time, the levels don't go straight from point A to point B. They start at point A, then zig-zag off down an entirely different path, the player stealthing or shooting or puzzling their way through everything Uncharted 4's meaty campaign can throw at them. How you get to point B is completely in your hands.

Elsewhere, the voice acting and motion-capture performances are the best in the industry, the game looks better than anything else on consoles - even trumping a good chunk of PC titles - and the third-person cover-based shooting is slick, refined and without fault.

Do yourself a favour; chart a course to your nearest retailer and pick up a copy.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
