9. That Lacklustre Launch Line-Up

Although this problem may not seem relevant anymore, the PlayStation 4's biggest initial problem was the lacklustre launch line-up.

When the most interesting games you have are third party titles available on last generation consoles, you know you've done something wrong. Although titles like Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Battlefield 4 aren't bad by any means, they didn't really show what the console could do and made the upgrade seem pointless.

Sony's own exclusives weren't much better. Although Resogun was widely regarded as fantastic, Killzone: Shadow Fall was mostly ignored because it didn't do anything unique or worthwhile. The most noteworthy of the bunch was Knack, which was only memorable because of how mediocre it was.
