Remember Achievements? They were fun. When Microsoft first rolled out the idea of tiny noise-prompts associated with you unlocking anything from collecting a certain number of extras to defeating a boss - something clicked. Suddenly gamers were up for spending hours grinding away into the night just to get one more of those glorious 'achievement pops', and it was something Sony took notice of when they ripped the system wholesale for their Trophies. However, it's never really worked on Sony's machines, as for some reason both the PS3 and 4 both require you to pause the game and check your list of goals. It's impractical and really hampers the flow of a game when you're just looking for something to do. Instead it's about time Sony nicked another of Microsoft's ideas and had something of a small, 'Snap-like' Trophy interface able to be pulled up whenever you like - something that would track your stats in real time, in-game. It'd easily increase replayability of any given title tenfold, giving you a myriad of reasons to hold onto a title instead of trading it in - solving a problem their end as well and forgoing the need to crowbar in some unnecessary multiplayer component just for the sake of the same thing.
