The 'rarity' stat is a fantastic iteration on the idea of trophy support, if only they'd do more with it. Right now it feels like the World of Warcraftian concept of 'dailies' and procedural challenges are infecting many games - with the latest being Mortal Kombat and its Factions or Living Tower Challenges - so why not factor this mindset into the console itself? In addition, the last update saw Sony add the ability to wipe 0% completion games from your list to tidy things up, but they really should go the whole hog to remove anything either up to a specific stat, or any game you like. Why? Well at the end of the day these little optional identifiers of your progress could be showcased in many more ways than they are, making trophies a definable and reputable part of your gamer card. Combine the idea of trimming your Trophy list with dynamically-changing goals obtained each day across various countries or friends lists, and it'd actually make you want to seek certain ones down and show them off to your friends. You may remember back when Trophies were launched Sony said they'd be actual cabinets you and your mates could wander through inside Playstation Home - and look how that turned out... but still, either as a way of getting back at a friend (like Need for Speed or Shadow of Mordor's rivals system) or just keeping up with the gaming zeitgeist as we all track the world's progress through something like Bloodborne, it'd be a great way to tie it all together.
