PS4: 7 Proven Franchises We're Excited To See In The Next Generation

5. Batman: Arkham

Batman Arkham Asylum 600x3002 While Batman: Arkham Origins was a bit of a dud in comparison to its predecessors, it wasn't because the game wasn't actually good. It was. It was just more of the same, a risk averse showing by a studio taking over a hot property and probably trying too hard to not make a mess of it. But realistically, an underwhelming Batman is still more awesome than most things in the world, and seeing him return in the new console generation should be amazing. The console jump allows for a narrative reset, a telling of some different stories in some different locations. It no longer has to be about Arkham, but instead can simply be about Batman patrolling Gotham and keeping the world safe from his rogues gallery. That pretty much can't happen soon enough. Best Likely Use of Next-Gen Technology: Increased map space. The ability to create a fully functioning, living, breathing Gotham would be invaluable to the Arkham franchise. Origins sort of laid the ground work, but they limited themselves to mostly thugs roaming the streets and made your required routes of travel fairly limited. A bigger, more detailed map of Gotham would certainly make things more interesting for PS4 Bat-enthusiasts.
