1. Grand Theft Auto
Nothing gets people talking the way a new Grand Theft Auto does. Casual gamers consider it can't-miss, people who don't even game go out and buy consoles, and hardcore gamers pick through the hours of content with a fine-toothed comb. To put it mildly, Rockstar releasing an iteration of their marquee title is a full-blown cultural event. So when the first new edition hits next generation consoles, be ready to absolute pandemonium. Considering how solid GTA V was and that it was the last big release for the PS3, it's going to be a while before we see a sequel. But when we do look for it to be bigger, louder, more offensive, more violent, more everything. Rockstar loves to push boundaries, and the new consoles will give them freedom to do it like never before. Buckle up. It's going to be quite the ride. Or don't. It is GTA after all.
Best Likely Use of Next-Gen Technology: While Rockstar has committed to making "more" and "bigger" their MO with GTA, they should avoid applying those words to things like collectibles and map size. The first next-gen GTA should actually go smaller in terms of map size, but go far deeper in terms of detail. Use this new gaming frontier to make everything interactive - all buildings can be entered, everything can be destroyed, that sort of thing. The series has been amazing with letting you do almost anything you can conceive of, it's time to take that idea to the next level.
