PS4: 9 Big Changes PlayStation Plus Desperately Needs

2. Automatic Downloading Of Demos & Apps

The 3DS' home screen has an option to let Nintendo auto-download and fill your homescreen with additional demos and content, and although Sony have flirted with this idea on the PS3 and initial PS4 presentations, it's something yet to fully materialise. So far on the 3DS the service tends to be used to download demos for upcoming games you've previously enjoyed or that have just released (if you've got the demo to Fire Emblem: Awakening, when you turn your console on next, one for Fates will be sitting there). Honestly, it's a really useful feature, and although granted, you'd have to see a few other entries on this list come true first (mandatory beta access and free past games for one), turning on your console to find you've been granted access to something like a Hitman or The Division beta, right there and ready to go, would be great for subscribers. App-wise there are far more out there than we tend to use, instead falling back on the same old utilities such as Netflix or Amazon Prime. Whilst the focus should always be on games, having Sony's algorithms detect what sorts of apps you favour - be they visual, audial or otherwise - and suggest or auto-download a number of them for you to try could turn out great.
