PS4: 9 Major Problems Sony Face In 2016
5. A Lack Of First-Party IP For 2016
Go on, name a Sony-exclusive game coming in 2016, because even following E3, the likes of Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War, Crash Bandicoot's HD remaster etc. are all scheduled for 2017.
That leaves... oh, The Last Guardian? Even the hands-on reports for Team ICO's game are less than enthusiastic. They say it feels like something designed for the PS3, which is fine to some degree, as it has been in development for just shy of a decade, but things like floaty control schemes, naff textures and a lack of graphical polish are all qualities that should have been brought up to speed.
Sony have managed to lock down Spider-Man too, but as the specific rights over the character continue to be furiously debated between themselves and Marvel, you can bet the whole 'PS4 exclusive' angle won't go the distance.
I've been saying for months that it feels as though Sony's commanding lead is just a product of how much we all despised what Microsoft did by ruining the 360's incredible momentum, yet the more distanced we get from 2013, the more things start to feel like the last generation all over again.
