PS4: 9 Major Problems Sony Face In 2016
4. Simple UI Fixes Still Aren't Patched
It's no secret that both Sony and Microsoft completely misjudged the amount of hard drive space we were going to need this generation. If you're a regular purchaser of games every few weeks or so, your HDD will fill up after only three to five main titles - it's hardly ideal.
However, something that comes out of this is a need to delete games constantly, meaning you'll put a new game in and be told to clear some space - you'll then do so... and be told again, and again, and again. Why? Because for some reason, the PS4 doesn't detect empty space until you've taken the disc out and reinserted it. A simple fix is required... but it's nowhere to be seen.
The DualShock 4 light still can't be turned off, games can't be installed to external hard drives, there are STILL no folder options and nothing in the way of custom wallpapers either.
Many of these things come down to the fact that because the PS4 was so popular, Sony didn't even need to THINK about appeasing the masses anymore. But, with Microsoft's big green baby allowing for external installations and custom wallpapers for two, it's only a matter of time until they do.
