PS4 Pro: 10 Ongoing Mistakes That Just Cost Sony This Generation
3. Microsoft Actually Have A Plan
Say what you will about how Microsoft handled themselves when they were at the top of the pile, they know they f'ed up, and ever since putting Xbox PR man Phil Spencer at the front of all communication, every move has been taken with confidence and strategy.
First, they lost the Kinect and began refining the system's dashboard. A solid list of console exclusives came next, before we got a look at the 4K-ready Xbox One S, and so far it's ended with the Scorpio being announced off the back of developers saying they wanted increased power for titles. This final motion comes in a far more consumer friendly way than Sony forcing the notion down your throat with endless four-syllable words.
Just look at how the two titans are operating right now. Microsoft certainly have a lot of ground to make up, but you can tell there are milestones in place to do so. Spencer himself has noted that they may never reclaim all that lost time and money, but they're damn well going to try.
On the flip-side, look at Sony and you still have a busted network, a myriad of XMB issues and a 'future plan' that amounts to a businessman throwing his hands up and yelling "I dunno! Buy a 4K TV?!"
