This list wouldn't be complete without mentioning the possibility of Resident Evil 8 making an appearance on the PS5. After the unbelievable Resident Evil 7 and the great remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3, Capcom has shown us what is possible when creating truly immersive survival horror games.

With the roaring success of RE 7 and the more recent remakes, it is safe to say Capcom will be hard at work making RE 8 for the PS5. Some leaks say that Resident Evil 8 will be officially named Resident Evil: Village and will be set in Europe, potentially leaning into cult-like horror aspects. Player favourite Chris Redfield is said to be making a return and play a crucial role in the story.
The game is said to be the "darkest" and "most gruesome" game yet, according to an internal member of the team at Capcom, which would mean it's going to be one hell of a messed up game!
