1. Possible Launch Titles
Speculation is already rife as to what games will launch when the PS5 lands in the "2020 holiday" period. For the most time, money was on the long-awaited The Last of Us 2 or the Final Fantasy VII Remake to leading the way.
Yet now we have a launch date for both titles in early 2020, all bets are off. That's not to say that they won't be ported down the line, or be available for launch as well, but fans aren't going to be clamouring for games available some months prior.
Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch's new IP, doesn't have a confirmed release date yet, with rumours abound of it being a launch title for the PS5. Likewise the recently announced Resident Evil 3 remake could be a strong contender, depending on how far along with it they already are.
Of course, there's always the potential to announce sequels to exclusives God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn between now and "Christmas" 2020. What better way to push your new console with exclusive follow ups?
