6. It Will Come With A 4K Blu Ray Drive

When it came to the PS3, one of the major advantages Sony had over the Xbox was that its console was equipped with a then state-of-the-art Blu Ray player. The propriety tech worked similar to the DVD player in the PS2, and offered players an experience beyond video games.

Sadly though, across this generation the company hasn't really cared about keeping up on that front. The original PS4 shipped with a regular Blu Ray player, while Microsoft bundled a 4K Blu Ray player into both their Xbox One S and X machines.

It felt like a missed opportunity, then, when the PS4 Pro also didn't ship with the upgraded drive, but fortunately the PS5 is confirmed to have the feature in as standard. It's them playing catch up to Microsoft, and was probably expected, but it's still nice to have it officially locked in.
