PS5: 7 Games We Need As Soon As Possible

5. Horizon: Zero Dawn Sequel

While Fortnite might be the game that people start playing after they buy a PS5, the reason to buy the machine on day one is because of the big time exclusive games. Microsoft is coming in hot with Halo Infinite, and Sony needs to fire back with a big-time exclusive of their own.

One of the games that come to mind in terms of launch titles is a follow up to Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Guerrilla Games’ breakout hit of 2017 introduced gamers to a brand new world full of lore that’s yet to be fully explored. While the first game did introduce three distinctly different locals, like the Sun-Steps desserts and the icy mountains from Devil's Grief, there's a lot more to be explored. Aloy's first adventure only offered up a small part of the history of these lands and you can bet a sequel can offer up a whole lot more.

The story also ended on a semi cliffhanger, so a sequel on better hardware would make sense. It's no secret that Guerrilla Games, the studio behind Horizon, hasn't put out anything else after their open-world game, save for the Expansion The Frozen Wilds back in November 2017.

Since then, some job applications from the studio have made their way online, which seems to indicate that a followup is in the making. Here's hoping the sequel is coming sooner, rather than later.
