5. A Great First And Third-Party Launch Lineup

Sony have created a stranglehold on the marketplace this generation by not only being the place to be for first-party exclusives, but also third-party releases. While they've amassed an expansive library of great games though, there's even more in development, some which could theoretically be the launch games for PS5.

Exclusives in the pipeline include Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding, which doesn't look to be arriving any time soon, as well as major sequels like The Last of Us II and Horizon: Zero Dawn 2, which could all drop alongside the new console. On top of that there's also major third-party releases like Cyberpunk 2077, which CD Projekt Red have already teased as being a next-gen title.

Leaks indicate that Dev Kits have already been sent out to studios around the globe, so there's a good chance that some of the biggest games currently in development could find their way onto Sony's next machine.

Launch lineups are notoriously weak because devs are still getting to grips with the new technology, but if Sony acquires even a handful of these as day-one releases, then they could buck the trend completely.
