PSVR 2: 5 Confirmed Features (And 5 It Needs)
8. Confirmed: Made For PS5
Another stone-cold fact we can give to this upcoming VR headset is that it is being made for the PS5...and the PS5 exclusively.
As lovely as it is to have the PSVR 1 be backward compatible for the new console, its integration has also been a little convoluted and shoehorned.
Take for example Hitman 3: it's available for both PS4 and PS5, yet only the PS4 version will work with the PSVR headset on the PS5. Confusing, no?
While VR games, like Blood & Truth and Firewall Zero Hero, get lush graphical upgrades when played on the new machine, bringing it a hair-breath away from a proper next-gen experience. It still isn't a next-gen experience.
Having a fresh new-headset, built from the ground-up to work with the new machine, using its full capacity, is an exciting next move for the PSVR 2.
