1. The Scientific Theory Behind Everything

Depending on how much you want to deep-dive on Quantum Break's insane time-travelling plot, Remedy do eventually provide the scientific method behind the madness. Whilst knowing the name of the theory itself may be considered a spoiler if you really know your sci-fi, I've elected to hide it behind a warning anyway (even though I'm not going to reveal anything specific).

So, in the final act, many things converge and you're told by a particular character who has events of what's going on to take cover, as enemies up ahead are prowling around. You're free to shoot them anyway and be labelled impatient by this character, or you can hang fire for a minute, and get a hint that will help understand the entire thing.

The character mentions that after everything they've experienced, that "Novikov's Self-Consistency Principal" holds true, which if you look into it, is pretty much the 'get out of jail free card' of time-travel explanations.

It might help you comprehend what's going on... or it might drive you over the edge trying to.
