Rage 2: 10 Features That Prove It's Better Than DOOM
5. Mad Max: Fury Road-Level Convoys
The Mad Max video game was something of an underrated gem that too few people played. Avalanche Studio's penchant for chaos-filled games allowed them to channel the bonkers nature of 2016's Mad Max: Fury Road and make it playable. Similar to the movie, car combat was where the game thrived, with harpoons, explosives, and dynamic enemy convoys regularly covering the only available roadways.
While not all of MM's great components made the jump to Rage 2, these convoys did, and they're a welcome addition. Convoys help add purpose to your choice of vehicle, the Phoenix's upgrades and simply steer driving sections away from pure mission-mission monotony. After all, nothing wakes you up during a quiet drive like a swift explosive round to the driver's side door.
Players spend all this time discovering these souped-up death machines, but what would be the point without some goons to blow up? Rage 2 thrives in the craziness of its uber-violent gameplay and when you add war rigs and goons on motorbikes with guns, it's really something.
