Rainbow Six Siege: 10 Glaring Problems Ubisoft Still Haven't Fixed

1. Jager's Pick Rate

Since Rainbow Six Siege launched over five years ago, Jager has been right there near the top of any kind of defensive operator ranking. His combination of a great primary weapon and an extremely useful gadget, that remains useful to the team even when Jager has been eliminated, help solidify him as one of the best operators in the game.

Ubisoft have been well aware of this for some time and have made a number of seemingly drastic changes in order to improve balancing, including removing the ACOG attachment from his weapon and reducing his speed from a level 3 to a level 2. While these changes have been effective in reducing Jager’s impact, there’s still no denying that he is a powerful operator.

Despite the changes over the years, Jager still boasts over 90% in pick rate in ranked mode at platinum and above based on the latest Ubisoft developer notes. One positive is that his win rate has decreased over the years due to the changes that Ubisoft have made, but he still remains a popular operator. Granted a popular operator isn’t necessarily a bad thing but when the attacking team can say with almost 90% certainty that there will be a Jager on the opposing team it takes some of the unpredictability from a game that is made great by its unpredictability.

While the changes that Ubisoft have made appear to have been effective at bringing Jager more in line with other operators, it seems that further action may be needed to reduce player reliance on him - at least at higher ranks.
