31. Hind D (MGS)

Snake's first battle with Liquid takes place when Liquid shows up in a Hind D, a Russian gunship that wastes no time trying to pepper Snake with lead. The battle itself is relatively brief and sees Snake make great use of the Stinger missile launcher to lock onto the Hind and shoot it down, seemingly killing Liquid in a giant fireball (but of course, not really). The fight definitely could've been more challenging and inventive, but the Stinger mechanics were great fun to get to grips with, and the battle was popular enough that it naturally ended up being virtually repeated in the next MGS game. Plus, the entire fight is rendered unintentionally hilarious by Liquid's over-the-top dialogue ("Eat this!") and the weird grunting noises he makes every time you hit the Hind with a missile. Weird...
