11. Sahelanthropus - Stealth (MGS V)

Long before Snake destroys Sahelanthropus, he has an encounter with the giant mech way back in episode 12 when attempting to extract Dr. Huey Emmerich. Sadly no arsenal of weaponry makes this mission any easier, as the player needs to remain stealthy in order to make it to the LZ in one piece. Cue the mission that has induced anxiety in millions already, as Sahelanthrops smashes up rocks and sends out scouter robots to look for Snake and Emmerich. There are few moments in the game that can rival the relief of finally luring Metal Gear far enough away from the LZ that you're able to race to the chopper and get the hell outta there. But of course, it's just a taste of what's to come, even if it's ultimately a lot more interesting and engaging than the final showdown with the rocket sponge machine.
