Ranking Every Call Of Duty Campaign From Worst To Best
1. Black Ops
While World at War was a decent effort by Treyarch, they didn’t prove that they could rub shoulders with Infinity Ward until they launched the original Black Ops back in 2010.
Acting as a loose continuation of their previous release, Black Ops brought its focus to shady Cold War era CIA operations in a surprisingly interesting and shocking character-driven story.
There's a great synergy to both the content of the missions as well as the actual overarching narrative that just clicks together beautifully, and although there's a killer twist that shakes everything up just before the game's climax, it's a testament to the quality of the game that the campaign would have been just as enjoyable without it.
Boasting some of the most memorable moments of the series and taking the freedom it was awarded to be much stranger than its Modern Warfare counterpart and running with it, Black Ops was proof that Call of Duty could still be daring when it wanted to be.
