10. Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded - both in its HD cinematic form and original DS game - is often regarded as the worst Kingdom Hearts game.

This is certainly a fair verdict for what is essentially an inconsequential tale. The game focuses on Data Sora's adventures through the worlds of the original Kingdom Hearts (for the third time at this point) and his battles against rogue data invading Jiminy's Journals.

Whilst the adventures of Sora and friends have always been enjoyable, Re: Coded doesn't do anything original in either its HD film or DS game. The game itself is derivative and has a plot that only reveals what King Mickey wrote to Sora at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2. That small detail was not worth slogging through this game for.

Square Enix clearly knew the worth of this game as they didn't bother remastering it fully, only including the cutscenes and new battle scenes. If even Square sees it as that meaningless, you know it's the worst Kingdom Hearts experience.
