Pokemon Go revolutionised mobile gaming when it was released. It needs no introduction - it brought the adorable pets into the real world, and according to statistics nearly everyone on the planet played it.

Opinions are now mixed on it due to its limited amount of content, despite newer Pokemon being released. In addition really similar apps based on other franchises, such as Jurassic Park Alive or the upcoming Ghostbusters and Harry Potter ARG games, have ruined the magic of the original.

Despite this it's still an important milestone in mobile gaming. It got people running around the real world to visit gyms and catch rare Pokemon, and united people in hunting down something that isn't another god-damn Rattata.

While its shockwaves are still being felt in gaming and mobile technology, it still can't be called the best Pokemon mobile game - there are two games that are simply better experiences.
