Ranking Every PS4 Exclusive From Worst To Best
18. Killzone: Shadow Fall
Speaking of 6/10, "Yup, it's fine, I guess?" games, Killzone is the ultimate encapsulation of such a phrase.
Where Killzone 2 was dogged by marketing where Sony pretended a pre-rendered cutscene was gameplay and 3 got everything right, despite having a colour palette outside of brown and grey, Shadow Fall finally saw Guerrilla experiment with primary colours.
Suddenly the planet Vekta actually looked inviting and felt fun to explore. Weapons and player abilities too had a shake-up as you now had a deployable OWL drone that could zap enemies before you went in for the kill.
All-round, this is the best Killzone alongside 3 and the PS Vita's Mercenary. A more than playable visual showcase that - in the long run - falls down because of far better shooters.
