3. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3
Combine all of the great qualities possessed by the first two Pro Skater games, turn them up a notch, and you have the absolute powerhouse of entertainment that is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.
By this point in the series' lifespan, many of the marginal-at-worst issues that were present in the first two games were completely done away with. Plus, the game was just as fun as its predecessors. There was also the addition of the revert trick, which allowed for better, longer combos, as well as some drastically improved draw distances.
In addition, the mainstays of what makes a Tony Hawk game good were all present in Pro Skater 3. The level design was arguably the best of the series up to that point, the gameplay was as refined as ever, the soundtrack was flawless, and the secrets that kept the last game so interesting made a comeback.
It seems that the original Pro Skater series just got better with every installment.
