This isn't a tip to make more money so much as it is a piece of advice for prospective players, but still, while you're making money in Red Dead Online, make sure you save some of it. Times are hard and you can find yourself penniless while attempting to get your hands on items as soon as possible, which isn't exactly a great position to be in.
Unfortunately, for the time being, clothing, weapons and more are all locked behind rank levels, which means that as soon as you do unlock something cool, the temptation to instantly fork out your hard earned (grinded) cash will be very, very difficult to resist.
Obviously there's no point in accumulating cash if you're not going to spend it, but it's important to remember that Red Dead Online is still in its earliest phase. There could be dozens more items of clothing, accessories and weapons to come, so hold onto your money until you see something you can't pass up getting.
