8. Keep Moving
Even though Red Dead's autoaim makes outmanoeuvring the opposition a difficult task, making sure you're hard to hit is just as vital as making sure you know what to hit when you get a clear line of sight.
In PVP, players can find themselves zipping around the map by repeatedly tapping the 'X' button on PlayStation, or the 'A' button on Xbox. Of course, there's a time and a place to sprint, and you don't want to find yourself coming out of an animation when confronted by an enemy player, but the point is that camping in Red Dead Online doesn't really help your cause.
There are few positions in the current map selection that provide an impregnable vantage point, and the fact that standing still reveals your position on the map is another thing to bear in mind. Instead, make sure that you're switching up your position and make your movement unpredictable. Only go into cover if it provides a genuine refuge. Otherwise, keep your sights up, take advantage of auto-aim, and keep moving.
