Red Dead Online: Frontier Pursuits - Everything You Need To Know
5. The Trader
The first of the three new specialty roles that we’ll look at is that of the Trader. As a Trader, the player teams up with Cripps, an NPC from the online campaign, in order to start a business and trade goods throughout the online world.
In order to become a Trader, the player must read a business proposal from Cripps (accessed through the Post Office) and purchase a Butcher’s Table. Once this has been done, Cripps will send the player off to gather materials and deliver them to customers.
The Trader role is clearly made for those wishing to unleash their inner hunter. Animals will needed to be hunted for meat and parts, which will then be delivered to various characters across the game’s map.
Along with the income made from sales, the Trader role also benefits the player with additional hunting-based abilities on their skill tree and a number of other rewards. These include a lance knife, a stew pot, and, by far the most important, a canine companion. Who’s a good boy?
If your ideal gameplay experience is a weird hybrid of survival skills and early-stage capitalism, look no further; the Trader is the role for you.
