Red Dead Rebellion: 10 Most Believable Rumours We Want To Be True

2. Single-Player Gangs

We've covered multiple protagonists, but what of squad-based combat and team-tactics, along with the actual maintenance of a gang both at base HQ and out on-mission? Rockstar are yet to truly dabble in squad mechanics, with the last time they did being in 2005's The Warriors - although even that didn't feature you commanding your crew in the same way as something like Mass Effect. Sure we don't want an over-reliance on squad-management, but a great way to shakeup the gameplay that's remained relatively the same from GTA IV through Red Dead and GTA V would be to allow us to manage groups of people at once. If the rumour of warring US Army/Native American factions in the game holds true, being right in the middle of the conflict and siding with either opposition to amass a diehard squad of teammates could work a treat. So far aside from GTA: Online Rockstar aren't ones for pushing multiplayer content, and it would be a breath of fresh air to see them realise the idea of multiple heroes on screen at once - a missed opportunity from GTA V all things considered.
