5. 2016's Leaked Map Was Real - Bayou Confirmed

Back in April 2016, a certain leaked map was released online from a key Rockstar insider. Within we learned about everything from the return of Mexico to offshore islands, hinting at swimming finally being a thing. The game's new location would potentially be New Austin (Rockstar's fictional take on Texas) and Louisiana, as "Caravan Camps" dotted the landscape, ripe for taking over.

Now the new trailer is out, a prominent cutscene shows the Van de Linde gang infiltrating a location in the Bayou - not to mention the whopping great crocodile that chomps down a random NPC - confirming the Bayou location from the map itself.

This is immediately reminiscent of Mafia III's gator-feeding possibilities too, and furthers/confirms the rumour that Mafia III and Red Dead 2's map will share the New Bordeaux location at least in name.
