3. John Is The Youngest - And Possibly Newest - Member Of The Group

Here's where things get mighty interesting.

So, though it's not confirmed that Marston is even in RDR2, we know he was a member of Dutch's gang, and we know he was born in 1873. This puts him at 38 years of age in the first game - though RDR2 looks to take place slap-bang in the middle of the oil rush, which was at its height in the late 1800s.

Joining the dots, this youngster we see Arthur Morgan intimidating is most likely a late teens/20-something John, being forcibly recruited into a life of crime by Morgan and the rest of the Van de Linde gang.

It therefore makes sense that - if Morgan does indeed kill his mother, like he's intimating in this scene - John joins the gang to perhaps kill Morgan, but mainly because he has nowhere else to go. Though this information can be assumed from the official trailer, the leak lets Marston's role go one further...
