Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Single Player Expansions We'd LOVE To See

8. Micah And Dutch

Red Dead Redemption 2
Rockstar

Dutch is a complex, fascinating character. That's a universally-held truth. Another is that Micah Bell SUCKS. Not as a character. As a character, he's actually pretty interesting. But as a human being, he is - as they say in Archer - a "sack of bastard".

The period between the gang's dissolution and Micah's death on Mt. Hagen seems ripe for exploration. Think about it: people play GTA like psychopaths most of the time, anyway.

It's hard to play RDR2 that way and get a satisfying conclusion, because Arthur is - by design - a decent person. Playing as Micah would afford you the opportunity to play as just the worst piece of sh*t you could possibly hope to be, and you wouldn't be penalized for it.

If anything, it'd only serve the story. Dutch eventually betrays Micah, and you playing Micah as a monster would just add to the mounting tension that was clearly already there.

The big question is this: did Dutch betray Micah because he was too violent for Dutch to stomach? Did he betray Micah because of what happened with the gang? Or did he betray Micah because he didn't like sharing power?

A DLC could shine some light on that.
