Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Single Player Expansions We'd LOVE To See

7. Blackwater Massacre

We know relatively little about the Blackwater Massacre. It was mentioned in the first game, though the involvement of the Van der Linde gang wasn't revealed until the prequel. It was the precursor to Red Dead Redemption 2 - the inciting incident that put the gang on the path to destruction. We got little details here and there about the events that transpired, and a large contingency of fans have been begging for an opportunity to play through the gunfight.

Admittedly, this would probably be a relatively short DLC. The Blackwater Massacre was a singular event, so any expansion featuring the pivotal shootout would almost certainly have to include a good deal of setup. If the DLC were just ONE mission, then it wouldn't really be able to justify its existence. Still, any chance to peer behind the curtain and see how things unfolded would be pretty dope.

Sure, we wouldn't get to play as Arthur (he was off on his own mission with Hosea), but we'd get the chance to see THE thing that sent the gang running for their lives. A massive shootout involving the gang, the Blackwater PD, the Pinkertons, and Landon Ricketts, himself? Sign us up.
