Red Dead Redemption 2: 10 Things You Must Do First

2. Use Cinematic Mode To Travel

If you're a PS4 player, you'll probably stumble upon this feature by accident after pressing the DualShock 4's trackpad with the hope of viewing the map.

In fact, holding the trackpad will send the game into "cinematic mode", whereby Arthur and his horse will navigate their way to your waypoint, and you'll only need to press the X/A button periodically to keep them in motion.

If you're getting a bit fed up of the hands-on traversal but still want to soak in the game's atmospheric locales, this is a fine compromise and one that makes those more laborious trips decidedly more tolerable.

This is especially true during the earlier hours of the game, where you probably haven't had time to unlock fast travel options yet.
